"We found working with Studio J2 a completely satisfactory experience. They helped us design and plan internal renovations and a bedroom/bathroom extension to our 1895 historic home in Fairhaven, MA. They produced an imaginative and farsighted plan that has transformed our house. The plan improved the functionality of our kitchen, making it feel bigger and better connected to the rest of the lower floor. Their design completely opened up the first floor living space and lightened the interior significantly. The original dining room was opened to the kitchen by the removal of an intervening wall. A large contiguous living space was created by the removal of a second wall and the expansion of an existing opening. The extension of the master bedroom above an earlier family room addition, created a large master bedroom suite with an adjoining bathroom and walk in closet. Studio J2 was always mindful to remain sympathetic to the style and character of our property and helped us find contractors who were similarly thoughtful. These architects worked closely with the contractor, kitchen designer and engineers involved to keep communication links strong. We were undertaking this project from a distance, living at the time in Sudbury, MA. Studio J2 was very happy to accommodate this and made regular site visits. This was an ambitious and complex project which ran very smoothly. The renovations have updated our characterful house without spoiling its charm. This firm of architects exceeded our expectations."
